Screenshots, movie and some information are on the official site. http://eu.plaync.com/eu/games/overview/aion/ . If you look around there's more info about Aion (including the engine) on many news sites.

Who cares..

I doubt many gamers are interested in playing yet another MMO when there are games such as Guild Wars/WoW etc

(Could be good alternative to attract those who want to "grind" from GW ...)

There isn't much info available yet. It looked like the game is using GW interface design concepts, this is nothing new. A lot of games borrow interface concepts from each other. For example blizzard's bottom control menu took over the RTS genre as opposed Westwood's sidebar. They both had their advantages and disadvantages. You really do have to wait until you can call the game a rip-off or more of the same though. A few screenshots is nothing to judge a movie on.

I really dis like its art style.

more looking foward to Tabula Rasa or Dungeon Runner than this "flying-moving-all around Lineage clone"

I wouldn't count on it. This looks very much like "typical MMORPG"... in other words it's probably nothing new.
And like every "typical MMORPG," you can probably expect a hefty monthly fee...

Although, if it's a good enough game, I'm willing to fork out a monthly fee. I did it for Final Fantasy XI (which wasn't very good), City of Heroes (which lacked content initially, although updates seem to have remedied that... I may revisist good old Paragon City) and World of WarCraft (which is a good game but it just got old) but I don't expect it will be good, and I'm not going to subscribe if I don't get some kind of trial (and if I only get the trial by buying the software, there's no chance)

Maybe I can get into the beta... Beta is pretty much what hooked me on CoH, WoW, and GW.
The fact that I've got beta testing experience with PlayNC is probably a good thing. I'm hoping to get in the Dungeon Runners beta. I'm a beta-RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO...

Me to, it would be pre-ordered and paid as soon as it was offered.

Actually, this damn Factions game is making miss CoH a hell of a lot right now... *must resist urge to reactivate CoH account*

I wish someone would make a MMO of the "Fallout" franchise. I loved Fallout & Fallout 2.

You, sir, are a GENIUS! Although I might get sick of the whole post-nuclear environment...
I kind of got enough of it in post-searing Ascalon ^.^

Anyways, I'd definatly prefer a new original sci-fi MMO. We've got Star Wars Galaxies and The Matrix Online, which I have no interest in just because they are capitalizing on existing trademarks... I don't want a game that emulates a movie! I want a game that is a game! Then again, Fallout is a game. But I still prefer something new and original

What. (now you make me regret ever starting the thread)

It's just one of many new games on NCSoft's plate. Move along, nothing to see here.

As much as I hate to propagandize another MMO, but if you own BOTH CoH AND CoV, when Issue 7 is released ((practically any week now)), you'll be able to access ALL of the content for both games on either a villain or hero. Plus, you play both games for only one fee... In other words, your hero can look intimidating...or evil...but still be a good guy. , I can't wait.

I'm picking up Factions this weekend. One thing I would've liked is if you had both keys on your account ((for Prophecies & Factions)) then you should have access to all character content for either campaign. I don't know why, but I just like having that option of making a Canthan look like a Tyrian, because I don't like some of the Mesmer Faces for Factions...but I'd like to make a Canthan Mesie...don't know why...but again, I just like having that option. ^_^;;;
